Diana Rigg combines postgraduate education and speech pathology qualifications with an understanding of the education system. This provides a platform for an innovative and practical approach. Her work aims to extend teachers' and parents' ability to cater for the specific developmental needs that impact literacy and academic performance. Diana inspires, educates and equips teachers and parents with specialised techniques, programs and assessment tools.

Lisa Edenburg

Lisa has worked as a therapist for a number of years within the education and disabilities sectors throughout Australia and the United Kingdom. Her education in Speech Pathology and Psychology allows her to consider a child’s global performance and functioning to prioritise and maximise performance. Lisa has a particular interest in working with children with autism spectrum disorder and social-emotional difficulties.

Rebecca Robbie - on maternity leave

Rebecca obtained her Speech Pathology Degree at Curtin University, graduating in 2001 with two mentions on the Vice Chancellor's list. She has spent the past six years working with young children with a variety of speech and language difficulties. Early Intervention (treating children 0 -3 years of age) is Rebecca's main area of focus and her passion, especially now that she is enjoying witnessing the language acquisition of her young daughter.

Alice Lans

Speech Pathologist  - BAppSc(HCS)

Alice has recently moved to Perth from Sydney and is very happy to have joined the PLD staff. Prior to coming to WA, Alice ran her own practice working with school aged children both in a clinic and school setting. Before that, she worked with Sydney University Speech Pathology students to develop their clinical skills.

She has had a wide range of clients over a number of years, both in Australia and the UK. Alice has a strong belief in the importance of parental teamwork and parent training when working with clients as they are the ones who spend the most time with our clients and know them the best!

Damien Beale

Speech Pathologist - BSC(HCS)

Damien has recently joined the PLD staff having returned from 2 years work in Papua New Guinea. Damien has specialised PROMPT training, Hanen Training and Makaton training and these skills give him a holistic means of assessing children with a range of language, articulation and learning difficulties. He has previously worked in the disabilities and public health sectors for a number of years. Damien has a clinical role at PLD seeing children for 2 days a week and his primary passion is working in Early Intervention (treating children 0 – 3 years of age).

Melissa Barrett

Melissa has recently returned to Perth after spending the past 7 years in Sydney and the United Kingdom.  She has worked with a wide range of children in both the educational and public sectors, providing assessments and therapy in the clinic, at home and within schools.  Melissa has a special interest in working with children with articulation difficulties.  She also enjoys working with parents to help develop their knowledge of speech, language and literacy skills.  Melissa has a clinical role at PLD, seeing children 4 days per week.

Di Van der Walt

D Van der Walt

Di graduated from Massey University in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Speech Language Therapy in 2008.  Since immigrating to Perth in 2009, she has worked with school age children who have intellectual disabilities and autism.  Di’s main area of interest within Speech Pathology is literacy development.  Di has a full time clinical role with PLD.

Bridget Scott

Bridget is a highly experienced therapist who has worked with children with a range of learning and developmental difficulties and disabilities.

She has worked in the private and public systems and has a particular interest in working with children with autism spectrum disorders. Bridget strives to develop children functional skills and maximise their performance and participation in the educational and greater community.

Camilla Holt

Occupational Therapist - BAppSc(OT)

Camilla has extensive experience in paediatric occupational therapy, having worked in both the public and private sectors in Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, and the UK. She aims to provide children with the skills for optimum function within the community, and understands the importance of working collaboratively with teachers, parents and other health professionals to achieve this. Camilla has a passion for handwriting and strong belief that competent skills in this area are vital for a student’s academic success, as it is the way they express their knowledge. She has 4 children of her own, giving her good insight into the needs of parents/children and the demands they face.

Deborah Walter

Deborah Walter

Deborah holds formal qualifications in nursing, teaching, marketing, graphic design and illustration, with extensive experience both in Australia and overseas. She was won several international illustration and local art awards. Deborah worked as a classroom teacher, graphic designer, art director, medical artist and more recently as a marketing officer within the school system before joining PLD in 2007

Dave holds a formal qualification in pre-press production. He has worked in design and printing throughout Australia for the past 25 years. As a father of two young boys, Dave enjoys the contribution his work makes to the education and development of children.
